Our client, as a result rapid company grow in the real estate industry is seeking a Paralegal with an experienced compliance, research and development background. The Paralegal will report to the General Counsel.

Paralegal Responsibilities:
The Paralegal will perform specifically delegated paralegal work in support of the Compliance/Legal functions within the real estate and cannabis industry. Experience monitoring changes to laws and regulations, as applicable. The Paralegal must have the ability to understand, interpret and explain local ordinances and state laws and perform specifically delegated paralegal work in support of Compliance/Legal functions of the organization.
Familiarity with contracts, and compliance requirements associated with contracts and business operations.
Working knowledge of commercial/multifamily real estate transactions, documents, and contracts from beginning to post closing.
Willingness to learn new areas of law and how to conduct business operations within the dynamic regulatory scheme of a new industry
Understanding regulations on state and local level and can monitor changes to laws, regulations and ordinances applicable to real estate industry.
Preparing letters, memos, reports and legal documents
Keeping corporate records
Maintaining complete and accurate files for all matters including files contained in electronic database
Assist others in the Legal Department and cross functional teams.

Paralegal Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience with regulatory compliance, finance, or real estate will be preferred.
A paralegal certificate is required.
Knowledge of Cannabis industry a plus.
Paralegal experience in commercial/multifamily construction desired.
Ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree.
