Marketing Director The Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) is a nationally recognized 501(c)3 economic development organization with 32 years of successful experience assisting women establish and grow sustainable businesses that create jobs and fuel economic growth. The organization delivers business development programs and services throughout the greater Chicago area and certifies women owned businesses and offers procurement services in a nine state Midwest region. The Marketing Director delivers strategic communications, graphic design, social media, brand management, and various administrative functions. Reports to: Chief of Staff Responsibilities: Develop WBDC strategic marketing and communication plan Develop programmatic marketing plans, including the eLearning program, to support WBDC strategic marketing and communication plan Create, using graphic design skills, WBDC marketing and communication materials that are web and print-friendly Create, using graphic design skills, brochures, newsletters, HTML e-blasts, and other printed or electronic communications Design WBDC annual reports Coordinate and manage programmatic outreach and communication Coordinate and manage the WBDC’s social media presence, including postings to Facebook and Twitter accounts, LinkedIn, and other media platforms Create client profile videos and success stories Create calendars for ongoing WBDC marketing and communications efforts Create national event and advocacy calendar and monitor deliverables Track photos, press clippings, and online mentions Represent the WBDC at trade shows, supplier diversity events, and other events that benefit the WBDC and its clients Create materials for WBDC major market events Assist with WBDC database input and maintenance Perform other duties within the scope of work, as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferred concentrations: Marketing, Communications, and Graphic Design 3-5 years related experience preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to meet multiple deadlines independently Ability to work flexible hours to staff WBDC special events Highly proficient in graphic design Highly proficient in Constant Contact or comparable, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Highly proficient in social media management Working knowledge of HTML code and website management To apply, please submit a cover letter and resume by e-mail to: Carolina Diaz Martinez, Women’s Business Development Center Address: 8 South Michigan Ave., 4th Floor, Chicago, IL 60603 E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org Position available immediately.
