Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer oversees the day to day activities of the finance team and ensures the Company's finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial accounting and reporting. He/she is responsible to ensure that a comprehensive set of controls exist that are designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Responsibilities:
Reporting to, and in ongoing communication and collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Chief Financial Officer will have the following responsibilities:
- Manages the finance function and oversees the finance team in the completion of day to day financial activities
- Develops documented procedures to ensure that accounts payable are paid timely, accounts receivable are collected promptly, services are billed accurately and timely and client accounts are handled in accordance with the Company's approved procedures
- Ensures that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
- Coordinates and prepares the annual budgets, forecasts, and variances for discussion with the program managers and COO
- Ensures compliance with federal and state billing requirements for services provided
- Ensures compliance with Social Security guidelines for management of client funds as Representative Payee
- Performs cash management duties to ensure obligations are met and continued growth of reserve funds
- Facilitate the competitive bidding process for purchases of goods or services as needed
- Negotiate contracts for lawn care, pest control, audit and other services as needed
- Coordinates and provides information for all audits, both fiscal and programmatic
- Manages the day to day property and casualty insurance needs of the Company
- Prepares annual ICF/IID cost reports
- Complies with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Conducts annual evaluations with all direct reports and provides ongoing training, guidance and feedback throughout the year to ensure optimal performance of each direct report
- Ensures efficient, effective, and ethical operation of the finance functions
- Ensures timely production of monthly internal financial reports for management
- Analyzes operating results of Home of Hope and its subsidiaries versus approved budgets and objectives
- Prepares monthly consolidated financial statements and related information for the Board of Directors
- Presentation of financial information to Hope Housing and Rogers County Training Center Boards of Directors
- Presentation of consolidated financial reports to the Home of Hope Board of Directors in the absence of the COO
- Conducts other duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned by the COO

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting and minimum of 2 years accounting experience or 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Experienced in management of an accounting team
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
- Exhibits strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with Excel spreadsheets and Dynamics Great Plains preferred
