Job Description
Responsibilities:
Lead a team in accurately accounting for building operations and transactions
Review and analyze the general ledger, financial statements, and accrual/adjusting journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Prepare financial statement analysis for management and partners
Collaborate with the SVP and business executives on cash flow forecasting
Review monthly, quarterly, and year-end work paper packages, including posted journal entries and general ledger analysis
Prepare annual audited financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Review monthly bank reconciliations
Develop reporting templates and perform analysis using tools such as Excel and JD Edwards
Participate in business process and technology integration initiatives
Support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
10+ years of real estate accounting experience; CPA preferred
Public accounting experience a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting theory
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional demeanor with sound judgment and interpersonal abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with JD Edwards and Hubble is a plus
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail
