We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President (VP) of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that will play a key role in the Accounting and Finance industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. This role will require a deep understanding of technical accounting, 10-K filings, and XBRL tagging.
Responsibilities:
As the VP of Financial Reporting, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Coordinating and managing the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
3. Implementing and maintaining XBRL tagging for all financial reports.
4. Leading the technical accounting research efforts and ensuring the company is in compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
5. Providing leadership to the financial reporting team, developing and implementing training programs, and ensuring a high level of accuracy and productivity.
6. Collaborating with senior management to provide strategic guidance and insight on financial reporting matters.
7. Liaising with external auditors and managing the audit process.
8. Driving continuous improvement initiatives within the financial reporting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial reporting role within the Accounting and Finance industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and 10-K filings.
4. Proficiency in XBRL tagging and a strong understanding of the technical aspects of financial reporting.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a non-financial audience.
8. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
