Responsibilities

Ship orders to customers. Pull and prepare orders for shipment according to the packing slip. Prepare shipping information and paperwork.
Receive shipments; unload delivery trucks, check for visible damage, verify the items and counts against packing slip and record discrepancies on the packing slip. Receive items in the inventory system.
Put items away; plan location layouts and relocate new and used items. Document location of materials going into inventory.
Maintain correct inventory counts and perform cycle counts on the inventory.
Process returns daily/weekly. Scan and file vendor packing slips.
Safe use of forklift to move inventory from trucks to and around warehouse area (forklift training and certification provided).
Arrange delivery or pick-up of orders, i.e. call freight-company, courier service, etc.
Other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements

1+ years of related shipping/receiving experience
Ability to read and comprehend a packing slip, purchase order, invoice and other business forms. Ability to do basic arithmetic; skill level normally acquired through the completion of high school.
Basic computer skills.
Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
Monday Friday, 8:15 am 5:15 pm

Additional Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. on a daily basis, up to 45 lbs. occasionally.
Standing and walking approximately 90% of the time.
Frequent bending, stooping and reaching above the shoulders.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures.
