REMOTE Tax Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Remote Tax Supervisor/Manager to oversee our tax department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Trust Estate Tax and a CPA certification. This role involves managing tax compliance, providing strategic tax advice, and ensuring the accurate preparation of tax returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of Trust Estate Tax returns for clients
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to clients regarding trust and estate matters
- Manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support
- Ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations
- Review and analyze tax returns for accuracy and completeness
- Communicate effectively with clients to address inquiries and provide updates on tax matters
- Stay current on tax law changes and their implications for clients
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure integrated tax strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification is required
- Minimum 4 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, specifically in Trust Estate Tax
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in public accounting is a plus
