The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Fisheries Ecological Research Specialist in the College of Agriculture, Biotechnology and Natural Resources. The Specialist, Fisheries Ecological Research duties include: conduct field research and maintain field monitoring programs designed to collect information related to fish, invertebrates, and habitat conditions in freshwaters using standard methods such as electrofishing and netting. Specific tasks may include assisting in fish tagging, processing fish for stomach content and age analysis; collecting invertebrates using standard method techniques; collecting and analyzing flow permanence, stream temperature and discharge data; surveying habitats, assisting graduate students and post-doctoral researchers; data entry and summary graphical analysis for progress reports with preliminary updates to PI.
