We are looking for a strategic event marketer who will manage various programs specific to the Americas Face-to-Face Global Business Marketing team in LATAM, but also extending to some global project responsibilities and broader Americas team programs. You will be responsible for contributing to and executing individual events that support overall sales goals, marketing plans and key messages before, during and after events. The successful candidate will have a marketing industry background that includes marketing strategy, developing and producing multi-channel event programs through solid positioning, messaging, event planning, project management, contract negotiating, and cross-functional relations, that ensure Facebook is positioned as the strongest marketing platform in the world. This position is full-time and is based in our Mexico City office. RESPONSIBILITIES Program strategy: Collaborate with LATAM Event Marketing Lead to develop 360-degree event marketing strategies that include input from cross-functional teams and align with overall Facebook strategy and branding. Evaluate and report on events success as part of overall business goals Event programming: Work with cross-functional teams and LATAM Event Marketing Lead to ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each respective event. Ensure events deliver impact both at the messaging level as well as the client level Event leadership: Concept, develop, up-level and produce event programs for specific Facebook advertising events, conferences and trade shows that support sales team efforts Foster feedback loop with cross-functional teams to continually measure event effectiveness - define and refine event metrics as part of overall marketing effectiveness Manage project timelines Develop and review creative concepts for events and work with marketing teams and GMS (Global Marketing Solutions) partners to build and enhance programs Work with marketing and events partners including agencies, digital, live stream/video, registration, facilities, catering, security, shipping, and other event logistics partners Collaborate with event marketing team to continually refine best practices and standards across Facebook, and then build on them for future event planning, execution and measurement Cultivate strong industry relationships with marketing partners and key vendors and work to incorporate more of Facebook’s platform into all event experiences Manage and maintain relationships with the main business marketing stakeholders in LATAM (based in São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Bogotá and Miami) Work closely with global and cross-functional counterparts to ensure cohesion and scalability for events messaging, campaigns and product launches MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 7+ years of marketing strategy experience, preferably in the advertising, marketing technology, or media industry working in an event management role 5+ years working with cross-functional teams or stakeholders Direct experience concepting and developing programming for event marketing programs Direct experience managing advertising industry events Thorough understanding of client-side marketing and the holistic role of events in the context of overall marketing strategy Exceptional project management experience, setting, communicating and maintaining timelines and priorities on every project Ability to work across various levels of the organization while building trust and fostering collaboration Travelling regularly for site inspections and events across LATAM countries and Miami, and for business meetings across other countries around the globe Fluent English. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Advanced Portuguese language is desired.
