Job Position: Full Time Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Norristown Area School District
Pay Rate: $22.00-$25.00/Hour
Shift: Monday through Friday up to 7 hours per day or 35 per week - shift may be scheduled between 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Description: SOS Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. In this position, a qualified applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions for the Norristown Area School District. You will be responsible for managing accounts payable activities, including invoice processing, expense reporting, vendor payments, and reconciliation tasks. Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Verify and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and review expense reports, ensuring adherence to expense policies and guidelines.
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.
Perform month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
Assist with the implementation of process improvements to streamline accounts payable workflows and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or relevant financial roles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
