Job DetailsPosition Overview:
The Asset Manager will oversee and optimize the performance of the company's Class A multifamily assets. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong financial and analytical skills, a deep understanding of multifamily operations, and the drive to grow into a leadership position. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in multifamily real estate and a passion for achieving investment objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Management
- Assist in the development and execution of asset-level business plans to drive operational and financial performance.
- Monitor property performance metrics, including occupancy, rent growth, NOI, and expenses, to ensure alignment with investment goals.
- Identify opportunities to enhance value through leasing, capital improvements, and market repositioning.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior leadership and investors.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
Operational Oversight
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure operational excellence and adherence to business plans.
- Support lease negotiations and renewals to maximize revenue and tenant satisfaction.
- Oversee capital expenditure projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with acquisitions teams during property onboarding to align expectations and ensure a smooth transition.
- Partner with external property managers, lenders, and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality operations and compliance.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Professional Development
- Actively participate in training and mentoring programs designed to develop leadership and advanced asset management skills.
- Take on increasing levels of responsibility with the goal of growing into a senior asset management role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., CFA, CPM) are a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in real estate, asset management, or property operations, with a focus on institutional Class A multifamily properties.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, including underwriting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in financial modeling and property management software (e.g., Excel, Argus).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and take initiative in a team environment.
- Knowledge of multifamily market dynamics and operational best practices.
