Job Details
Responsibilities:
Analyze current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Assist with job cost, revenue recognition and WIP reporting.
Participate in the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations/accruals.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filing.
Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Assist with the implementation of internal controls and compliance with SOX requirements, including identifying segregation of duties issues.
Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial analysis, identifying trends, variances, opportunities for improvement and guidance to management.
Support the external audit process, ensuring all information is provided accurately and on time.
Assist with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking.
Respond to accounting inquiries from staff and management in a timely manner.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, CPA or 4-7 years of related experience.
Proficiency with, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Proficiency with accounting software, including Quickbooks, IFS, and Onestream, is preferred, but not required.
4 or more years of professional accounting experience with focus on financial reporting and analysis.
Prior experience working in the construction industry preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workflows.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
