Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices. Coming from top 20 public accounting companies is a plus but not required. The Staff Accountant will support the finance department with various accounting tasks and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
- Monitor and review accounting transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of necessary documentation.
- Maintain and update financial records and ensure proper filing systems are in place.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Extensive experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Experience working with healthcare accounting practices is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations, financial reporting, and tax laws.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA certification or working toward certification is a plus.
