Job Description

This position is for a full-time, on-site Android Developer with 5 years of professional experience in which 3 years in Android Mobile development. Developers with published mobile apps in the Google Play Store will be prioritized. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creates in-house mobile applications.

  • Architects the mobile development stack, CI/CD, deployment.

  • Designs mockups and wireframes.

  • Bug fixes, QA, problem solving.

  • Works closely with other team members in the development team.

  • Performs code reviews.

  • Ability to work with APIs and SDKs

  • Works under pressure and is familiar with an agile development.

  • Has a great eye for design.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Expert knowledge with Java. 3 years (Required)

  • Expert knowledge with Android Studio. 3 years (Required)

  • Expert knowledge with JavaScript (ES6). 3 years (Required)

  • Expert knowledge with internal and third party RESTful APIs. 3 years (Required)

  • Expert knowledge with HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JSON, AJAX. 3 years (Required)

  • Expert knowledge with Git. 3 years (Required)

  • Deep understanding of UX/UI and grid responsive designs.

  • Graphical sense of design, ability to take sketches and turn them into working UI.

  • Experience with MVC frameworks.

  • Ability to write clean, scalable/modular code through source control. GIT required.

  • Ability to follow directions and adheres to timelines and project plans.

  • Good communication skills, ability to mentor and work collaboratively.

  • Highly organized and with great time management skills.

  • Experience with Angular and/or React is a plus.

  • Experience with developing mobile apps using Ionic is a plus.

  • Experience with Grunt or Gulp is a plus.

  • Other Back-end programming languages (PHP) knowledge is a plus.

  • Startup experience is a plus.

  • Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance

  • Healthcare Environment Experience

  • FHIR or other EPIC development
