Job Description

Responsible for achieving a defined sales quota target in small and medium business sales at U.S. Cellular. Additionally, this position will be the champion for small and medium business products and solutions in both the Agent and Corporate channels. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the support of small and medium business customers. They will partner with Corporate, Agent and Business Channels to maximize channel efficiencies to best support business customers and prospects.  


•Position U.S. Cellular as the small business wireless expert in the communities we serve. Protect the existing customer base, drive growth of existing accounts, and generate new logo opportunities

•Support Corporate owned locations with efforts to cultivate, engage and grow small to medium business (SMB) relationships and drive business results. Provide consultative support to Agent and Corporate leaders with proven strategies that generate new SMB opportunities. Assist associates and leaders with managing the intake and effectiveness of closing new sales opportunities while leveraging the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) platform.

•Provide expertise in the proposals process, participate in sales calls and support closing sales in store and on customer premise, as needed, within the assigned territory.   

•Be a product knowledge expert for business products and solutions. Manage relationships between customer, vendor and U.S. Cellular specific to "Internet of Things" (IOT). Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitors' offerings in order to best position U.S. Cellular in the small to medium business realm.   

•Provide consultative support to Agent and Corporate leaders ensuring they have the tools and process knowledge to provide the ideal customer experience to small and medium business customers. Share observational feedback with the leadership team in the Agent and Corporate channels to continue driving SMB results.

•Travel required within assigned territory


•High School diploma or state equivalency.

•5 years total sales experience.

•Strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•Negotiation skills.

•Valid Driver's License
