Facebook is seeking a Global Mobility (GloMo) Specialist focused on delivering end-to-end mobility experiences across relocation, immigration and mobility tax for our Americas-inbounds. The Global Mobility Specialist will be part of the Program Delivery team and supported by deep technical subject matter experts, i.e., program owners, in each of the core competency areas – relocation, immigration, and tax.
The person in this hands-on role will have a global mobility background and partner closely with HRBP’s, Recruiting, People Operations, Compensation, Benefits, Legal, Payroll, and others to ensure a seamless mobility experience for our people. The Global Mobility Specialist will be an integral team member supporting our Program Delivery Managers/Americas Manager to help scale all Program Delivery support across immigration, tax and relocation, including managing the day-to-day with our external providers, managing escalations and exceptions within a tiered support model, vendor technology, and process and policy improvement. This is a full-time position located at our Austin, TX.
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with a complex and high performing set of mobility vendors across the region to ensure a smooth experience for our people
  • Respond to queries within a tiered support model related to tax, immigration, and relocation raised by our employees, provide 1:1 consultations with our employees, cross-functional teams and partner with the Global Mobility program owners (relocation, tax and immigration SMEs) to escalate and resolve cases
  • Partner closely with our People Services team to provide training, process documentation and support for technical inquiry resolution support
  • Review and support escalation and exception requests within a tiered support model
  • Partner with internal cross-functional teams and external supplier partners to develop process and system improvements
  • Support and deliver on specific technical or compliance driven processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and timely completion, e.g. business traveler data files, performance surveys, dashboards, etc.
  • Support our knowledge base content on the Facebook People Portal and Recruiter Wiki pages
  • Support ad hoc projects as assigned
  • BA/BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Global Mobility i.e., relocation, immigration and/or mobility tax
  • Knowledge of global mobility lifecycle processes and methodologies
  • Experience operating in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in developing methods to automate manual processes
  • Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
  • Advanced user of MS Excel, Workday, Salesforce, or other HR-centric systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to think through end-to-end solutions to improve the processes and plan around systematic blind spots through the mobility lifecycle
  • Ability to handle complex, ambiguous situations exercising judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively with data, analyze and present insights, develop and deliver presentations of key results
