CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. DESCRIPTION:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

We have an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our talented CBS sales team. The ideal candidate will lead a team of account executives and implement strategies that deliver customer solutions through multi-media platforms with the ultimate goal of driving revenue and market share and achieving quarterly/annual budgets. This position reports to the VP, Director of Sales.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage key local/national accounts with account executives.

  • Develop creative customer focused marketing solutions.

  • Lead the sales team in developing new business to the station.

  • Expand core business by maximizing CBS Sports & Specials.

  • Coach, motivate and lead account executives in all sales efforts.

  • Participate in client meetings and build relationships with market decision makers.

  • Complete accurate business reports and forecasts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred:

  • Three to five years of sales management experience in television, digital or media industry preferred.

  • Interpersonal and leadership skills for motivating staff and maximizing revenue performance.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-pressured sales environment.* Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, WideOrbit
