Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for utilizing web applications to engage and communicate with alumni and friends of the University. This includes designing, creating, and editing web pages – including donation and event registration pages; designing, creating, and sending email communications to alumni and friends of the University; and testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing these web applications. The Senior Web Analyst is the primary supervisor for all iModules and Cvent web assets throughout Advancement, and is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements to fully leverage the capabilities of these tools.

• Manage the design and creation of online event registrations, online donation pages, websites, microsites, survey forms, and email invitations for the Advancement Division.

• Supervise the design of Advancement email communications – ensuring adherence to email best practices, and that the emails display properly in major email clients and on mobile devices.

• Serve as Advancement’s primary administrator and subject matter expert for iModules and Cvent – delivering training to technical and non-technical end users, and managing the security settings of the systems.

• Edit and optimize images for use online, cropping and resizing as necessary.

• Strategically guide the Advancement Division in the review and acquisition of technologies that help achieve web-based constituent engagement goals.

• Manage the Advancement Intranet and development of web submission forms and online documentation.

• Partner with colleagues in Information Technology Services and Finance to ensure that PCI compliance is maintained and that credit card refunds are executed as appropriate.

• Manage the development of web and email templates that can be easily used and modified by non-technical staff.

• Inform the business rules that govern the data feeds between Advancement Division’s on-line (iModules and Cvent) and off-line (Ellucian Advance) databases.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree required. Strong knowledge in utilizing web-based communication tools, and in writing and editing. A minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Qualifications

The Senior Web Analyst is the primary supervisor for all iModules and Cvent web assets throughout Advancement, and is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements to fully leverage the capabilities of these tools. Experience supervising staff is preferred.

Computer Skills

Must be proficient in HTML and CSS and demonstrate the ability to build web pages and HTML emails. The ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts is required. The ability to identify and solve technical problems in a timely manner is required. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and foundational skills in graphic design skills are preferable. Experience with Java, JSP, jQuery, JavaScript, RDBMS, and SQL is preferable.
