As an Energy Projects Coordinator – Remote (field based) you will be responsible for coordinating implementation projects that help us conserve energy across our North America facilities.

This role will work closely with stakeholders across multiple sites to identify and execute energy projects and initiatives. Projects may involve energy efficiency, demand response, energy data management, storage and self-generation. You will help analyze and report on performance metrics, complete feasibility analysis and evaluate potential savings opportunities in the energy space. The role will work as part of an integrated team to implement energy program requirements and achieve results.

· Support the execution of a comprehensive energy efficiency strategy
· Work with diverse stakeholders to coordinate, and implement strategies to reduce, monitor, and “green” Amazon’s energy consumption
· Manage projects against plans and objectives to ensure commitments are met, delivering against cost savings goals
· Assist in preparing written analysis of findings and recommendations for various energy-related solutions
· Analyze and communicate the financial impact of projects and initiatives (payback, ROI, NPV, etc.)
· Manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
· Build relationships with external suppliers and partners, and with internal stakeholders


· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management or related field
· 2+ years of experience working in energy efficiency/management
· Ability to manage project timelines, contractor scopes, and project budgets
· Experience with standard building systems (HVAC, lighting, and building shells)
· Working knowledge of demand-side energy analytics and management (e.g., building operations, building management systems, self-generation, etc.)
· Knowledge of data collection and analysis methods
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
· Willingness to travel 75-100% (at home Friday-Sunday)


· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Experience with demand side utility programs and incentives
· Experience with process efficiency improvements
· Knowledge of energy markets
· Knowledge of solar feasibility assessments
· Experience within the packaging, shipping, transportation, or material handling industry
· Experience with water efficiency projects
· Other desired certifications: PMP, Lean/ 6 sigma, CEM, LEED
· Energy auditing or commissioning experience
