The Juvenile Counselor II will have extensive experience working with high risk youth and their families. The incumbent in this role will possess skills in case management, community outreach, and collaboration with community partners. In addition, the candidate will have knowledge and experience working with youth who suffer from mental health/behavioral and drug/alcohol disorders; exposure and/or experience with the Juvenile Justice System, court, and have experience working with diverse populations. Overall, the successful candidate must be able to work on a team and independently, have a lot of flexibility, and understand systems of care. 

Juvenile Services is recruiting for two (2) Juvenile Counselor II - Bilingual English/Spanish positions in the following areas:

  • Substance Abuse Team - this team handles isolated violation level substance abuse charges (e.g., Minor in Possession of Alcohol or Marijuana) and felony level drug court probation cases referred to the Juvenile Department.
  • Breaking the Cycle Team - this team works with youth who are referred to the Juvenile Department for sexual offending.
