Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manages day-to-day operations for the Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work websites:

- Manage and maintain web content in coordination with the Coordinator of On-Line programs.
- Serves as project and client manager for all SSW-related web initiatives including, but not limited to, the migration to new templates, web standars, content audits, metrics and analytics, etc.

With the Coordinator of On-Line programs, manages, approves, and distributes strategic e-mail communications as assigned; coordinate and optimize SSW news to ensure lakeside campuses are kept abreast; Responsibilities will include: digital screens, e-newsletters, broadcast/special emails, etc. 
- Consults and provide input into web platforms and software that faculty and staff operate at the school.
- Ensures content is shared across other internal SSW communication channels and to the broader University community as appropriate.
- Assists other areas of UMC and SSW as needed, including projects in advancement, brand marketing, design, and web communication
- Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Computer Science or related field is required. A minimum of 2 years of job-related experience is needed.

- Advanced education in graphic design, web development is preferred.
- Strong knowledge in writing and editing along with a broad range of concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.
- Understanding of social media and experience writing for social media necessary
- Experience with employee/internal communication is preferred
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with numerous teams throughout the University
- Must be client-service oriented, as well as very detailed and results oriented
- Substantial experience in web programming and IT support.
- Project management skills with demonstrated success integrating web design and effective application of marketing, business and other strategic principles.
- Ability to multitask with proven track record in meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, and exceptional client-service and team-participation skills.
- Proven ability to share knowledge and teach others.
- Understands the purpose, processes, and principles of multimedia and interactive storytelling.

The applicant selected for this position must successfully complete the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages {ACTFL} writing proficiency test to verify Spanish language competencies.

Computer Skills
- Must understand and have experience with various web technology and content systems (i.e. WordPress, Sprout Social, T4, Dynasign (digital screen provider), Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop) and ability to learn new technology systems quickly; basic understanding of HTML and CSS is preferred
