Together, we can help people build stronger communities — we're just getting started.   We're looking for a strategic and creative individual to help manage the social presence and community engagement for original content – specifically new Shows on Facebook Watch. The Social Media Strategy Manager will help build the overall social strategy for Shows, work with various agencies to build content calendars for Shows, and ultimately grow Show Page followers and create meaningful dialogue and interactions between the audiences. It is imperative that this individual be a passionate advocate for the Facebook mission and entertainment/original content overall.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Social Media Strategy manager to help grow followers across Show channels, including primarily Facebook and Instagram, and eventually Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr etc., with a focused effort on increasing Show views and deepening social interactions.
  • Work with various agencies to help build content calendars and develop a bespoke response strategy for series.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners to create, support, and execute campaigns and initiatives across key channels, ensuring content adheres to a consistent voice and brand guidelines.
  • Identify new ways to use social platforms to enhance storytelling and interact with audiences.
  • Manage a content creation and creative delivery flexing editorial/copy skills to build out the narrative.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of social media and community management experience in the entertainment industry
  • Ability to craft and manage social editorial calendars and content development, as well as agency partnerships
  • Proven record of creativity and innovation in the social media space for entertainment and/or content driven brands
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, adapt with changing priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
