Role Description


Supporting Pfizer Essential Health business unit (PEH) sterile injectables product in the US, the

Associate Healthcare Sales team assists in attaining the goals of the Pfizer Injectable Business.

We seek to hire an individual with an interest and aptitude to sell and willingness to be trained to

join as a Pharmaceutical Sales Rep – Associate Healthcare Sales (inside sales). Previous sales

experience is not required.


The Pharmaceutical Sales Rep – Associate Healthcare Sales (inside sales) will be assigned to

A specific region and be given training and responsibility to sell Pfizer Injectable’s

pharmaceutical products in those accounts via phone. He/She will be responsible for

maintaining/increasing product sales revenue for the company. Training throughout the 18-24

month tenure will prepare the sales rep to move up to a field sales role with successful

completion of the program.


This Sales Rep position provides unique opportunity for candidates to demonstrate proficiencies

related to sales, product promotion, and customer contracting.


The sales rep primarily supports field accounts and field sales via the telephone and other electronic means of communication. The rep may be required to travel to hospitals to complete a sale, identify potential sales opportunities through customer analysis, make product/contract presentations, and/or provide product in servicing to acute care facilities. He/She will also analyze account sales, utilization, and trends via sales reporting, Veeva® for call reporting and account management, Microsoft Excel applications and Tableau.


Territory management will be primarily from the Lake Forest office. Individuals will effectively work and demonstrate competency in Associate Healthcare Sales for 18-24 months prior to consideration for advancement. MUST be willing to relocate at a future time.

• Bachelor's degree required

• Goal-oriented individual with a strong desire to be in sales; have core skills of customer service

orientation, initiative, planning and follow up, work management, and judgment/problem solving

• Able to be on telephone up to 6 hours per day and speak clearly and effectively to all assigned customers

• Individual must also utilize Pfizer’s core values of integrity, ownership/accountability, speed,

and entrepreneurial spirit; no previous sales experience required, but preferred
