Location: Remote with In-Person Events throughout Los Angeles County
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 (4 day work week)
Benefits: $250 monthly health insurance stipend, PTO, Paid Holidays
Job Type: Salaried Position, 4 days a week. Occasionally there are events on weekends which can be swapped for work-week hours.

Our Mission:
Founded in 2017, The Flow is the only nonprofit fighting period poverty/stigma among people in the US through the use of menstrual cups. Our goal is to make menstrual cups - the healthiest, greenest, most affordable way to manage periods - and cup information accessible to all. We are on a singular, innovative mission: to ensure people in the US - starting in LA County - who have the greatest need for menstrual cups have information about them, and access to them for free.
Who We Serve:
Our team has partnered with over 65 organizations, reaching thousands of individuals by providing culturally-specific and multilingual menstrual cup education, and donating over 12,000 cups to under-resourced people, including many first-generation Americans, recent immigrants with a large portion of those we serve being Spanish-speaking. 90% of our work is in LA County, where we are located.

Position Summary:
The Education and Outreach Director will support The Flow World's mission by overseeing outreach to partner organizations, building and maintaining partner organization relationships, and developing and implementing educational programming.
This role involves creating and conducting online and in-person educational presentations / workshops, tracking outcome of partnerships, and assisting with strategic communication efforts. The ideal candidate has a passion for menstrual cups, menstrual equity, experience in educational programming, ability to foster strong community relationships within all of Los Angeles County’s under resourced communities and create quick connections with participants in educational presentations/workshops.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years professional experience
Ideal candidate has at least 6 months experience with menstrual cups, enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge about them
Passionate about menstrual equity, sustainability, and social justice.
Bilingual English/Spanish mandatory
Bachelor's degree in education, public health, social work, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Some work experience in program development, community outreach, educational programming, nonprofits, public health and/or reproductive health preferred
Experience in program development, community outreach, or educational programming, preferably in a nonprofit setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse communities
Strong administrative skills, attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently
Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding the intersectionality of period product insecurity
Self-Starter with an ability to work independently - takes initiative, follows-up and follows-through
Must have a car or access to a car and valid driver’s license
Must live in LA County and be comfortable going to events all around the County
Key Responsibilities:
Outreach and Partnerships:
Lead outreach efforts to establish and maintain partnerships with organizations dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing period insecurity
Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to broaden the reach of The Flow World's initiatives
Maintain updated database of partner organizations
Coordinate with menstrual product distributors to secure donations and ensure the free distribution of products to partner organizations
Educational Programming:
Develop educational workshops focused on period positivity, sustainable menstruation, and menstrual equity
Hold zoom office hours to support people on their cup journeys to address questions, feedback etc
Ensure that educational materials and programming are inclusive and accessible to diverse audiences, including women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals
Oversee Flow Educators (those who assist you with in-person events)
Strategic Communication:
Assist in managing and executing strategic communication to promote The Flow World's mission and programs
Help create educational materials, social media content, and other communication tools to engage the community and raise awareness
Event Planning and Community Engagement:
Organize and coordinate events and collaborations that promote period positivity and community engagement
Support team members in planning and executing special projects and campaigns aligned with The Flow World's goals
Inventory Management:
Oversee and maintain inventory and shipment of menstrual cups and other donated products, ensuring accurate tracking and distribution
Data / Feedback Tracking & Management:
Manage End-User relationships via our SMS feedback system
Track numbers of end-users served, cups donated, events held, etc. and provide a bi-weekly report
