Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in sales, account management, strategy, or business development.
  • 5 years of experience in CTV video, OTT, or other advertising technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA degree.
  • Understanding of the video and entertainment industry, platforms, and trends (e.g., Free Ad Supported Television, Advertising Video On Demand, D2C, and CTV/OTT distribution), and online advertising ecosystem (e.g., ad serving, ad exchanges, programmatic advertising).
  • Ability to be analytical and analyze business opportunities across multiple product areas.
  • Ability to negotiate contracts, interpret legal documents, and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
  • Ability to operate in a rapidly changing and undefined space.
  • Passion for emerging video sectors.

About the job

As the Strategic Partner Lead, you will manage ad infrastructure and programmatic ad inventory partnerships with TV programmers and video partners to foster development of the streaming ecosystem. You will set the strategic direction for each account, manage growth opportunities, and align internal stakeholders to execute on account priorities. You will communicate with executives and operational leads at our partners while staying close to emerging trends in the industry to help shape the strategy of our team.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $154,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop deep understanding of partner’s business, priorities, and challenges while working with Google leaders on overall partner strategy.  
  • Manage and grow business, product adoption, and relationships with video partners.
  • Negotiate term sheets, manage internal approvals processes, and contract negotiations and compliance processes.
  • Create and lead executive partner engagement strategies to develop communications with executives internally and externally.
  • Understand the full scope of partner business and ad serving including inventory trends, direct and indirect channel priorities, competitors used, and ad business.
