Career Opportunity: Radio Sales Executive Position

A radio sales executive’s job is to generate revenue for the station through on-air advertising, radio advertising packages, and sponsorship of programs.

Sales Executive’s primary jobs are to establish long-term business relationships with new clients, maintain or nourish current business relationships, and sell advantageous benefits of the stations. The sales executive’s role is to follow up on media schedules, production briefs, and proposals and update all advertising and pricing documentation and sales reports.

Sales Executives’ specific responsibilities may vary to some extent. Sales executives are required to attend scheduled meetings and work closely with colleagues regarding marketing, sponsorship, promotions, events, publicity, and programming.

Sales Executives are encouraged to attend networking events to pursue new prospects. Sales executives are also responsible for meeting with major prospects, obtaining information and creating presentations.

The right candidate should have deep knowledge about the State of Illinois’ Latino community, its leaders and its overall presence.

Minimum qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Aggressive in commissioned environments
  • Being an Independent thinking self starter
  • Knowledgeable and passion about the media industry trends
  • Experience using Google Suite
  • Strong communication/presentation skills - verbal and written
  • Interested and passionate about a long-term career within media sales
  • Willingness to Work evenings and weekends
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Interest in developing customer partnerships
