FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: Licensed Salary Schedule
FTE: 1.0 - 210 days per year

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will support the Office of Equity and Family Partnerships (EFP) by providing training, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching to NWRESD, and component school district colleagues and peers in Clatsop, Columbia, Tillamook and Washington counties.  This includes training in the areas of race equity, racial education equity, anti-bias education and culturally responsive practices.  The position will provide 1:1 coaching and mentoring, small group presentations and guidance, and districts’ department level training as requested. 

 QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or related field
2. Three or more years of experience delivering effective training, facilitation, mentoring, and coaching for educators in racial equity. 
3. Knowledge of best practices in theory and practice in the areas of race equity, racial education equity, anti-bias education and culturally responsive practices.
4. Successful experience providing technical assistance, coaching and/or professional development to adult learners in 1:1 and small group settings.
5. Demonstrated ability to facilitate groups in meetings and workshop settings
6. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve common goals, including collaboration with educators.
7. Demonstrated ability to work with schools, districts and other partners. 
8. Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze and interpret different types of data.
9. Ability to make decisions independently and to use initiative and judgment in accomplishing tasks following overall policies and objectives.
10. State issued valid driver’s license.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Include the following.  Performs some or all of the following tasks.  Other Duties may be assigned.  

1. Instruct NWRESD and component school district educators regarding best practice in the area of race equity.
2. Describe, model, and facilitate trainings that cover theory and practice in the area of racial education equity. 
3. Describe, model, and facilitate trainings for educators in the area of culturally responsive practices, using a variety of instructional techniques. 
4. Describe, model, and facilitate trainings for educators in the area of anti-bias education.
5. Design and deliver 1:1, small, and large group trainings outlined above.
6. Coordinate/collaborate with internal and external professionals regarding professional development needs. 
7. Contribute to and support the implementation of a comprehensive race equity professional development system. 
8. Travel to and from Districts and NWRESD sites in Washington, Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook counties.
