Working Title: Graduate Admissions Specialist
POSITION PURPOSE:

The Graduate Admissions Specialist responsibilities include assembling, reviewing and processing of paper and on-line applications to our graduate business programs; data entry into our web-based applicant database; generation of various admissions related letters, documents, and other formal correspondence with candidates including interview invitations, letters of admission and other formal correspondence with candidates.
The Graduate Admissions Specialist interacts with prospective students from a variety of academic, cultural, national, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The position counsels prospective applicants and admitted students on the various graduate programs available, application criteria, deadlines, etc. The Specialist proactively coaches applicants on the various admissions processes and criteria, documentation requirements, and on-boarding activities.
The position may score application essays, conduct student interviews, and assess candidates' backgrounds and future academic/career goals to effectively represent candidates to the admissions committee. The position uses the Customer/Client Relationship Management (CRM) System to help communicate with those expressing interest in the various graduate programs and generates reports from this system/database. The Specialist ensures candidate information and interactions are appropriately recorded in the CRM system. In addition, the position assists with the logistics to support Admissions special events such as offsite Info Sessions, onsite tours, offsite recruitment events, and other recruitment/admissions events.
This position maintains our web-based databases used to manage email campaigns, including event invitations, RSVPs, etc. The Specialist works closely with other members of the Graduate Programs Office along with other stakeholders, as assigned. The position provides a wide variety of administrative support, creates and edits documents, creates and enters data into spreadsheets & databases, schedules meetings along with leading the assembly of large mailings---all in support of Recruitment & Admissions activities.
