Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of healthcare industry experience in the payer/provider space.
  • Experience with software defined networks, DNS, Software Load Balancers, Network Authentication, and Identity Management.
  • Experience with application development, cloud service delivery/deployment, converged infrastructure, virtualization systems, and containers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics or other technical field.
  • Experience working with web/internet related technologies, architecture across SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, on-prem and cloud productivity suites.
  • Experience delivering pitches to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience delivering results in cross-functional/matrixed environments.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA and other legal regulations around healthcare data and common healthcare data exchange formats (e.g., HL7, FHIR, CCDA), Big Data/ML/AI related to healthcare and insurance, and healthcare compliance.
  • Knowledge of solution architecture within web and mobile environments.

As a Sales Engineer, you will work with technical Sales teams as an enterprise hybrid cloud subject matter expert to differentiate and paint the vision of Google Cloud to our customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explain technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof of concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks.

  • Work to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other events as required.
  • Provide Healthcare technology expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Guide customers through assessments of their existing legacy application environments, provide recommendations on a prioritization roadmap, and propose a transition to Google Cloud.
  • Create detailed and prescriptive architectures for healthcare cloud solutions.
  •  Structure and execute workshops to prove out proposed new architectures, prototypes, develop strategy, and document key blocking requirements for prioritization with engineering.
