Training Specialist

We are seeking a Training Specialist to enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employee's workplace performance in alliance with our company’s core values. You will be responsible for managing the company’s LMS, performing training needs assessments, floor coaching, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and managing all phases of training interventions.

 

Who is the Training Specialist?

The Training Specialist collaborates with all business areas to develop learning solutions designed to meet business objectives. You will perform needs assessments to determine training requirements that support business objectives and address gaps in employee skills and knowledge. You will also develop training materials, administer training programs, evaluate effectiveness of training against program objectives and provide recommendations for improvement

 Here’s what you can expect day to day:

As the Training Specialist, you will own training programs from design, delivery and ongoing maintenance while understanding and utilizing multiple delivery modes including e-learning, instructor-led, and/or blended learning programs. Written communication will also be key from managing and emailing our training calendar to getting a note out to participants.

 What you’ll bring to the position:

Successful applicants will have college degree or equivalent experience in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education or related discipline. 4+ years of demonstrated experience in training, development, or education including budget planning and management, preferably within the retail industry. Proficiency with e-Learning solutions and MS Office is required. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is desired.

 Education/Qualifications:

  • College degree or equivalent experience in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Education or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in training, development, or education including budget planning and management.
  • 2+ years of experience developing E-content.
  • Facilitation certification (DDI) or Certified Processional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) credential is a plus.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential is a plus.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish strongly preferred.
